About

Our story oriented to product quality and continuous innovation in the industry of common wheat milling is the foundation of our slogan: “We feed your trust”.

It follows the story of Cavallari family, active in the milling sector for more than a century. An old passion shared by the whole family, which led to the acquisition of the first mill in the mid-30s. Ever since, Cavallari’s name has become deeply tied to the milling industry as a whole.

Over the following 20 years, other mills were founded between Veneto and Emilia Romagna, in the valley of River Po, where the best Italian wheat is grown.

There were five brothers, and each one operated his own milling plant independently. In 1955 Angelo bought a historic mill in Ceneselli, in the province of Rovigo, a land with a well-rooted milling tradition and dedicated to the production of cereals.

In line with the ongoing technological evolution, he soon turned the plant into the famous mill known as Mulino Padano since 1971: today it is the only remaining industrial plant in this fertile land crossed by River Po.

In addition to passionately preserving an ancient tradition, we have always looked ahead, pursuing a constant technological innovation. The historic building was completely refurbished in 1985 and then again in 1995, until the new Salara plant was built, completed in 2015 and equipped with state-of-the-art systems and technologies.

Our legacy and future-oriented approach allow us to work to feed your trust, day after day.
